How to Create Instagram Story

If you are new to Instagram, create Instagram story for your friends to see. And did you know, you can find friends on Instagram very easily? They can be known to you, mutuals, or completely unknown. Instagram gives a space to create more friends and interact with them. How can you interact? Well, the Instagram story is one of the answers for interactions. So, let us understand Instagram stories.

Instagram stories are a way of posting memories, pictures, videos, audio, and alike that stays visible for 24 hours.
From the time you post it, your friends can view it in the next 24 hours.
It shows on top of the feed in a circular fashion for everyone.
The story can be viewed by tapping on the circle.

How To Add Story On Instagram

Create Instagram Story in 8 Easy Steps

Step-1 Open Instagram: Come on now, you must be aware of the Instagram application's logo. It is purplish yellow in color. Open the application on your device to go further.

To clarify, you must log in to your Instagram account if you aren't.
If you haven't made an account yet, create a new Instagram account to go ahead.

Step-2 Click on Profile Icon: On opening Instagram, you see your feed page by default. Here, you can see others' posts and stories. To create Instagram story, click on the profile icon at the bottom right corner.

It is just beside the heart icon.
You will see your profile picture in that small circle but if you haven't set a profile picture, it will be a person's icon as seen in the picture below.
Click on that to go further.

Step-3 '+' Icon: By clicking on the profile icon, your own profile opens up. From here, you can see all your profile details and edit it accordingly.

Just beside your profile name, you see a plus icon.
To create an Instagram story and add it to your profile, click on that.

Step-4 Choose Story: A list opens up at the bottom of the page by clicking on the plus icon. From that list, choose the story option as we want to create a story.

Step-5 Select the Image: Now, by clicking on the story, all the story settings and options open up. There are two ways to post a story.

Firstly, you can tap on the camera icon if you want to click a photo or record a video directly there.
Secondly, you can choose any photo from your gallery. All the media from your gallery is shown here.
If you know from which album you want to post a story, click on the 'gallery' option that has a downward arrow key at its side.
It will open up a list of places from where you can export media and put it on your story.

Step-6 Click on the Arrow: Now, once you select the image or video to post, it enlarges and is shown on the screen. From here you can add some gifs or stickers to your story.

After that, you need to click on the white arrow at the bottom of the screen.
It looks like a greater than sign and faces towards the right.

Step-7 Your Story: Now, Instagram asks where you want to share your story. To create an Instagram story for all your friends to see, choose the 'Your Story' option.

Step-8 Create Instagram Story: By clicking on the 'Share' option in blue at the bottom of the screen, you share the story on your feed.

Click on 'Done' if one more list opens up.
You redirect to your profile and you see a purplish yellow border around your profile picture.
This signifies that the Instagram story is created and shared.
