1. Open Instagram App: The first step is to locate the Instagram Application in your phone and tap on it.

3. Click on ‘Profile’ icon: After this, your feed would appear on the phone screen. At the bottom right of the screen, you would find the ‘profile’ icon. Click on it.

4. Select the post: A screen with all of your posts would be displayed in front of you. Select the post that you wish to delete.

5. Tap on ‘Three Dots’ icon: Once you have successfully selected the required post, click on the three dots located at the upper right corner and a drop-down menu would appear.

6. Select Delete: From that menu, select the option that says ‘Delete’.

7. Confirm: Once you are sure that you want to delete that particular post from your account, click on the ‘Confirm’ button.

How to Delete post on Instagram - iPhone

Following are steps to delete a post on Instagram using an iPhone.

  1. Open Instagram: Unlock your phone and click on the Instagram Application
  2. Login: The next step is to type your username and password carefully. Make sure that you enter the correct details.
  3. Tap on ‘Profile’ icon: Once you have successfully logged into the account, your feed would be displayed on the screen. You will see the ‘Profile’ icon at the bottom right corner of the Instagram feed. Click on it.
  4. Choose the post: After you have opened your profile, select the post that you desire to remove.
  5. Click on ‘Three Dots’ icon: The next step is to click on the ‘Three dots’ icon located at the top right corner of the selected post. When you will click on the icon, a drop-down menu would be displayed.
  6. Click on Delete: Choose the ‘Delete’ option from that menu.

Once you click on the delete option, the application would ask for your confirmation. If you are sure that you want to delete that particular post, confirm and the post would be removed from your profile.

How to Delete post from Instagram on Desktop?

Kindly note that there is no way of deleting your Instagram post using desktop or laptop yet. If you want to delete any post from Instagram, it is mandatory that you download the Instagram App on your mobile phone.
