How to Add or Create a Location on Instagram

Instagram is gaining popularity day by day due to it’s most attractive or unique features. Now, if people want to post something on Instagram, they can also add the location with that.

But in case if you already posted something and you want to add the location, you can also do that.

In steps, we are going to describe how to add or create a location on Instagram.

How to add or create a location on Instagram on Android?

These are some steps through which you can add or create a location on the Instagram:

1. Open Instagram App: Open the Instagram app in your android phone.

2. Sign in: Just enter your email or username with password and then login.

3. Tap on + button: After login, On the center in bottom, you see + button on the screen, just tap on that.

4. Tap on Gallery: You see a “Gallery” option just tap on that.

5. Select the Photo: Select the Photo and tap on ‘Next” which is located on the top-right corner.

6. Tap on ’add location’: After tapping, you see a “add location” option just tap on that.

7. Turn on location: A pop up will appear ask you to turn on the location tap on "OK".

8. Type location name: Starts typing the name of location in search bar.

9. Select location: After typing you see numbers of results just select the location name from your choice.

10. Tap ‘share’: Now tap on share button which is in the right at the top. Now your post has been shared with your all followers.

But in case, if you have already posted something and you want to add the location, you can also do that just follow these steps:

1. Open your Instagram: Just open the Instagram app in your mobile device.

2. Tap on Person icon: After that in the lower-right corner, you see person icon tap on that.

3. Tap on post: Tap on post and click on three dots located in top-right corner.

4. Tap on edit option: After tapping, a list will open, tap on edit option.

5. Tap on “Add location”: On the top-left corner you see “add location” option tap on that.

6. Select location: Just enter the location, and tap on correct-mark icon located in top-right corner.

After that you see the location has been added to your posted picture.

How to add or create a location on Instagram on iPhone?

These are some steps through which you can add or create a location on the Instagram:

  1. Launch Instagram App: Open the Instagram app in your iPhone phone.
  2. Login: Enter your email or username with password and then log in.
  3. Tap on + button: After login, you see " + " button in the bottom of screen tap on that.
  4. Tap on Gallery or Click photo: After tapping, you can post the picture from gallery or just click the picture then post it.
  5. Tap on “Next”: After selecting, tap on “Next” button which is located on the top-right corner.
  6. Tap on ’add location’: You see an “add location” option just tap on that.
  7. Turn on location: After tapping, you see a pop up of turn on location just tap on that.
  8. Enter your location name: Enter the name of your location in the search bar located at the top.
  9. Select location: After typing, you see the number of location with that name, select from your choice.
  10. Tap ‘share’: On the top-right corner, you see a share button tap on that.

You can check the post again, and you will see that the location name you entered is now visible to everyone.
