Step-1 Open website: The first step in the entire process is to open the website. You need to open Chrome or Safari on your device and type in the website link. The website link is:

Step-2 Click on "Track Application Status": The link will open the official passport website known as the Passport Seva. On the web page go to the top left side of the screen. Here you will see the following options:

• New user Registration
• Existing User Login
• Check Appointment Availability
• Track Application Status

Tap on the last option on the menu that says: Track Application Status

Step-3 Fill in your Details and click on "Track Status": The final step is to fill in your personal details to track your application. Once you are redirected to a new page you will see these options:

• Application type
• File number
• Date of birth

Fill in the details and the status will appear on your screen.

How Long Does it take to Get a Passport?

In the present day and age, one gets a Passport fairly quickly. To get a passport you need to:

• Fill in the form either online or physically go to a passport office

Along with this the police verification will also cost you an extra Rs. 500. In total if you need a fresh normal passport it will cost you approximately Rs. 2500. What Rebate do You get While Making a Passport?

As such no one receives any rebate while they issue a passport. However, in 2017 under the leadership of the Late Mrs. Sushma Swaraj, some rebates were brought in. Now a 10% rebate can be received by:

• Minors under the age of 8 will receive a rebate
• Senior citizens above the age of 60 will also get a rebate
