Steps to Send View Once Photos on WhatsApp
Step 1 - open whatsapp: As the first step in the process, you need to open the WhatsApp app that you have installed on your mobile phone. To do this you will have to scroll through the list of all the installed apps on your phone. Once you have spotted the icon for WhatsApp application which will be a green icon with a telephone receiver icon within it. Tap on it once.
Step 2 - select your contact: Once you have the app opened. You are finally ready to try out the “view once” feature. Open the chat that you want to send the media in. To do this you will have to click on the contact name that you want to send the message to. You can do this from the chat list that appears on the first page as you open the app.
Step 3 - Tap on the camera icon: Click on the camera icon given on the right-hand side of the message typing bar. This icon will be of grey color and will open the camera for you so that you can capture any photo or video here.
Step 4 - select any photo: As the WhatsApp opens your camera, you can either click a new media or you can select an image or a video from the already exits in your gallery. To do this you have to scroll through the images and videos that appear on this page in the bottom of the screen. Once you find the media file that you want to send, tap on it to select it.
Step 5 - Tap on 1 enclosed with circle icon: Now you will have the image or the video appeared on your mobile screen with
the option to add a caption. The icon for “view once” appears on the right-hand side of the
caption bar as a small circle with the number “1” written inside of it. Click on the icon.
Step 6 -Tap on right arrow: Once the view once icon turns green, you will know that the feature has been enabled for the selected media file. You will also be notified by a pop-up message will appear on your mobile screen saying “photo/video set to view once”. Click on the send button.
Step 7 - Your photo is sent to your contact for once: The media will now appear in your chat as a written text mentioning if it is a photo or a video. You won’t be able to open the file once it is sent.
This feature enables the media to be deleted once the recipient has viewed it once. They won’t be able to open it again. Once the media file has been opened, the sender can see the message “opened” appear on the chat screen. However, this won’t be the case if either the sender or the recipient have their read receipts turned off.
