We all use google meet on our laptops for presentations and meetings. But if we're in a hurry. Or we want to attend a meeting while traveling then it's hard to carry a laptop. We can attend the same meeting on our phone. You can share the meet link from laptop to WhatsApp and join directly from your phone. It's very easy to use the Google Meet app on phone. And all functions perform in a similar manner. You won't find any major changes between Google Meet on Laptop and on the phone.

Use Google Meet On Phone in 9 Easy Steps

Step-1 Open Play Store: To use Google Meet on Phone, firstly we need to have Google Meet.

• In some devices Google Meet is pre-installed.
• If you do not have Google Meet pre-installed on your device, no worries.
• Open your phone and spot the Google play store.
• In Play Store you can get cutting-edge apps for everything. There are more than 3.48 million apps on play store.
• Click on the Play Store to download the Google Meet app.

Step-2 Search 'Google Meet': In the Google Play store you will find several different options.

• On top of the app, spot the search bar.
• In the search bar, type 'Google Meet' and click 'Enter'.
• Google Play store will show the Google Meet icon as a result.

Step-3 Install Google Meet: Google Meet app looks like a video camera with varied colors present on the edges.

• As you as see in the image below, match this icon to the one present on your screen.
• On the right-hand side you can see there's a tab named 'Install'
• Click on the 'Install' button to download the Google Meet app.

Step-4 Open Google Meet: It will take some time to download the Google Meet application.

• Make sure that your device is well connected to a strong network.
• After the app gets installed, it will look like the image below.
• Besides the uninstall option you can find the 'Open' tab.
• When you'll click on 'Open' the Google Meet app will open.
• So, click on 'Open' to get started with Google Meet.

Step-5 Click on 'Continue' and Allow The Permissions: When you'll open the Google Meet it will look like this. Click on 'Continue' to proceed further.

Step-6 Tap on 'Join with a code': Next, we will join a Google Meeting.

• We have two options here. We can either choose to join a 'New Meeting' or 'Join with a code'.
• When you want to join a new meeting, you will have to create a new link.
• But you can join with a code as well. For that use, the google meet link shared in advance with you.
• Click on 'Join with a code' to join a meeting.

Step-7 Enter the Meeting Code and Tap on 'Join': Next, Click on 'Join' to join the Google Meeting.

• Type the code in the box given for code writing.
• Then, click on 'Join' to join your meeting.

Step-8 Tap on 'Ask to Join': Afterwards, you will require the permission of the host to enter into the meeting.

• If you want to show your Camera and audio then you can keep them on.
• If you don't want then just mute your mic and camera.
• Then, click on 'Ask to join' to enter into the meeting.

Step-9 Wait for the Admin to Let You in: After you've clicked on 'Ask to Join' you have to wait.

• The admin or the host of the meeting will let you in.
• Once you get into the meeting, now enjoy.
• You can just keep the meeting on and do your chores side by side.

Using google meet on phone makes things handy. We can use it while traveling or when we don't want to open up our laptops. Now you can use google meet easily on your phones.

Will I Mis Out on Any Features?

Mostly, all the features are available on the mobile version as well. However, you cannot use a jamboard in google meet from the phone. This feature is exclusively available for the laptop version only.
