Google maps work in the internet connectivity but sometimes we need it most and if we don’t have the internet then we face problem to use it. So, Google have added a new feature in our Google maps app that you can use this service in offline mode.

It’s very easy to use even in the lack of the internet connectivity or the internet is slow there. You can use Google maps offline in your phone.

How to use Google maps offline on Mobile

Just see quick steps:

  1. Open the app: Open ‘Google maps’ app. Google maps is available on both Android and IOS devices.
  2. Type the location: Type the location in the search bar at the top.
  3. Tap on the location name: Tap on the location name at the bottom.
  4. Tap on ‘three bars’: You will see the complete details there. Tap on three bars option at the top right corner.
  5. Tap ‘download offline map’: Now tap on the option ‘download offline map’ option in given options.
  6. Tap ‘download’: Now Google maps will show you the size of the downloads and you can select the area which you want to download it. Drag the map to select the area.

Now your file will be saved in your app. Now you can easily search this area’s short locations. It will download a map for you.

How to watch your downloaded maps

You can watch your saved apps in your app. You don’t need the internet connectivity.

  1. Tap on three bars: Tap on three bars menu at the top left corner.
  2. Tap on ‘your places’: Tap on your places option at the top.
  3. Go to ‘maps’: Swipe right and go to ‘maps’ option to see the downloaded maps.

Here, you can see your downloaded maps.
