How to Transfer Ownership of a Discord Server

Discord and its servers are extremely popular as chatrooms where you can exchange ideas and interests. You can create a new server in Discord and add members to it. If you no longer want to use the server then you can also transfer the ownership of a discord server.

You can delete the server but all members and information shared will be lost. Instead, what you can do is transfer the ownership to someone else on discord who may operate the server.

Step-1 Open the Discord App: First switch on your device which contains the Discord app. It can be a mobile, laptop, PC, etc.

Find the Discord app and click on the icon to open it. A Discord page with your account will be displayed.

Step-2 Click on the Three Dots Icon: On the Discord homepage, find the three dots icon. The icon will be located beside your Discord server name.

Also, make sure the Discord server name is the one that you want to transfer.

Step-3 Choose Server Settings: Now, when the new page opens, find the settings option. The tab will be located below the server name and beside the notifications tab.

Step-4 Click on Members Tab: A new window will open with the heading user management. Once the window opens, find the members option in this section.

Click on this 'members' option located above the roles option.

Step-5 Click on the Three Dots: Once you have clicked on the member list, find the username to which you want to transfer the ownership of the server.

There will be a three-dot icon beside the account name. Click on this icon.

Step-6 Choose Transfer Ownership: When you click on the three dots icon, a set of functions will be displayed. Select the transfer ownership option located below the ban account option at the end.

Step-7 Tick the Checkbox: A new pop-up window will open with two options. It will ask you to check a box about the confirmation. Click on the box to acknowledge that you are sure.

Step-8 Click on Transfer Button: Once you have clicked on the box, select the transfer option to finalize the setting. Do not press the cancel option.

Can I Change the Language of Discord?

Yes, you can change the language on Discord. You can change it from the default English to the language of your choice.

However, you must also remember that you can only choose an option from Discord's language list.

If the language you are looking for is not available, you have to make another selection from the list.

How to Remove Unwanted Accounts from Discord?

If you are facing trouble with any account on Discord, you can simply ban them. If you ban or block a person, they will not be able to contact you or access your account on Discord.
