Step-1 Open The Google Sheet: Let us get started by first opening up the Google sheet in which we want to move our file.

It is really very simple! You have to perform the following steps in the sequence as given below:

  • First, open up the web browser on your device.
  • Then, paste the link to your Google sheet in the web browser.
  • Then, just search for it, and the sheet will open up.

Step-2 Click Here To Move: At the very top of your spreadsheet, you will see the name of your Google sheets file. On the right side of the name, you will be able to see 3 icons.

From these three icons, you have to click on the middle icon as shown in the picture below.

Step-3 Select Your Folder And Press 'Done': Now, you can save your Google sheets file in:

  • Either the file manager of your device,
  • Or, you can also switch to your Google drive to save it.

After that, just click on the 'Done' button at the bottom. And, your file will now be moved.

  • It has a white outlined square over it. The square further divides into four identical cells.

Step-2 The 'three-dot' Icon: By opening the google sheets, you see a list of your shared and created documents. Select the one you would like to move.

  • After opening the desired google sheets, look at the topmost icons of the toolbar.
  • You see a three-dotted line at the right end of the toolbar.
  • It looks like a broken verticle line.
  • That is your way to go further.

Step-3 The 'Move' Option: By clicking on the three-dot icon, a drop-down menu opens up. That list divides into two portions and separates by a thin grey line.

  • In that list, look at the portion below the thin grey line.
  • You see an option reading 'Move'.
  • It is the one just below the add-ons and above the option of available offline. 
  • Click on it and you are taken to your google drive where you can select the destination of moving your file.
