Once you start using YouTube, you might want to frequently update your display picture with your latest photos to make your profile easily identifiable and to keep it up-to-date. Your YouTube account is linked with your Google account. When you change your YouTube profile picture on your iPhone, your Google display picture might automatically change and vice versa. Any changes made to one account might reflect on the other.

Step-1 Open YouTube App

Open the YouTube App from the desktop or the App Library. To find the app in the App Library, type “Youtube” in the search bar.

It might have been uninstalled from your device if you still cannot find it. Please navigate to the app store to re-install the app.

Step-2 Tap the profile icon.

Click on the profile icon on the top right corner of the app. This icon will have your pre-existing display picture or the initials of your name. A drop-down menu will appear on tapping on the icon.

Step-3 Tap Your Channel

Select the Your channel option from the drop-down menu.

Step-4 Tap the edit icon.

Select the edit icon. It is in line with the manage videos option under the profile photo. It will have a pen-like symbol.

Step-5 Tap the picture icon

The channel settings page will now open. Tap on the image icon on the top of the page to edit the display picture.

Step-6 Tap Choose from Your Photos

Click on the Choose from your Photos option in the Update photo drop-down menu to upload a pre-existing image.

If you want to click a new picture to set as a display image, then select the Take a phone option.

Step-7 Select the picture.

Select the picture you want to make your new profile photo.

Step-8 Adjust the picture.

Adjust the positioning of your picture as per your preference.

Step-9 Tap Save

Tap on Save once you are satisfied with the image positioning.

You can also change your YouTube profile picture by editing your Google account information.

Yes! If you are a creator on YouTube, you can change your channel name and profile picture without affecting your Google account. Unfortunately, this feature is restricted only to creators for now, and other users might not be able to use this feature.

Open the Google app on your iPhone or iPad. Select More from the bottom bar. Select Manage your Google Account and go to the personal info tab. Tap on the current profile picture.
