Step 1- Open telegram app: First and foremost you will have to open the app. This expects you to have the telegram app already installed on your mobile device and your registered account already logged into it.
- To open the telegram app you will have to go through the list of installed applications on your mobile phone.
- Keep scrolling through this list until you find the icon for the Telegram application.
- This icon will look like a blue-colored circle with a white-colored paper airplane appearing on it.
- Tap on this icon once to open the app.
Step 2- Open your group: As soon as you open the app you will see a list of chats appearing on your mobile screen. This will include the names of the contacts that you have had personal chats with or the group that you have been a part of.
- Scroll through this list and find the group that you want to change settings for.
- Once you find it click on it. If you can't find the group then it might have been deleted by mistake.
- You can recover the deleted telegram groups as well.
Step 3- Tap on the three-dot icon: A new page will appear on your mobile screen which will be the chat page of that contact. On this page, you will be able to see all the previous messages that have been exchanged in that group.
- In the upper right corner of the same screen, there will be three dots appearing in a vertical order.
- Tap on these three dots.
- This is the icon for the menu for that particular group.
Step 4- Tap on the edit icon: A new page will appear on your mobile screen. This page will have the name of your group and the details like how many members are added to that group.
- On the upper side of your mobile screen will find an icon that will look like a pen.
- This is the icon for edit click on this icon.
Step 5- Tap on permissions: Now you have entered the menu where you can edit the settings for that particular group you have opened. In this menu look for the option permissions. This can be identified by a key-shaped icon that will be there just beside the permissions option.
Step 6- Enable message types: After you have opened the permissions menu you can enable message types full stop you can choose whatever type of messages that you want to allow in that group.
By using this feature you can stay in control of the messages that are sent in the group you created. As a group admin, you are given the freedom by Telegram to manage your Telegram group this way.
