This means that the chats that you have with a particular Contact can be deleted automatically without any of your manual input. To do this you just have to change a few settings in your Telegram account. Enable/Disable Auto-Delete in Telegram: 5 Steps
Step 1- Open telegram app: First and foremost you will have to open the telegram app. This expects you to have the app already installed on your mobile device and your registered account already logged into it.
To open the telegram app you will have to go through the list of installed applications on your mobile phone.
Keep scrolling through this list until you find the icon for the Telegram application.
This icon will look like a blue-colored circle with a white-colored paper airplane appearing on it. Tap on this icon once to open the app.
Step 2- Tap on the contact whose chat you want to auto-delete: After you have opened the app a list of chats will appear on your mobile screen.
Scroll through these chats and look for the contact name whose chat you want to auto-delete.
Once you have found the name of the contact you can tap on it once to open their chat.
Step 3- Tap on three-dot icon: A new page will appear on your mobile screen which will be the chat page of that contact. On this page, you will be able to see all the previous messages that you have exchanged with each other.
In the upper right corner of the same screen, there will be three dots appearing in a vertical order.
Tap on these three dots. This is the icon for the menu for that particular contact.
Step 4- Tap on clear history: After you have typed on the three dots a popup menu will appear on the right upper corner of your mobile screen. This menu will have a list of options that you can choose from.
The third option in this list will be for clear history full stop. You can identify this option by the icon that appears right beside it.
This will be a broom icon. Tap on this option once.
Step 5- Select the time range as per your desire & enable it: After completing the previous step a new option will appear on your mobile screen. There will be a blue-colored button with clear history written on it.
By tapping on it you can delete your chat with that particular contact.
Below this button, another option will appear which will read as auto-delete messages in this chat.
There will be a range of time intervals appearing just below it. You can set the time range as per your desire.
If you want to enable the auto-delete option for every 24 hours click on 24 hours. This will automatically delete your chat after every 24 hours. Likewise, you can also choose the option for one week and one month. This option can be disabled at any time you want to by following the same process. You can also recover your deleted chats in many cases.
