Google provides many services and YouTube is one of the leading service. If you don’t want to use this service, then you don’t need to delete Google account. You can only delete YouTube account. Make sure that you have taken a backup of your videos because if you delete your YouTube account, then your content will also be deleted. Google doesn’t give you any backup of your video.

How To Permanently Delete A YouTube Account

Steps to Delete YouTube Account:

You can delete YouTube account only on the desktop. Mobile app doesn’t have this feature. Here the steps to follow:

  1. Open your browser: Open your preferred browser.
  2. Open google account page: Open Google account website ‘myaccount.google.com’ on your desktop browser. This is the main website to operate or manage Google services.
  3. Click on ‘delete your account or services: Click ‘delete your account or services’ option in ‘account preference’ section. 
  4. Click on ‘delete products’: Click on the ‘delete product’ option at the top right corner.
  5. Verify your mail ID: Type your password to verify that it’s your mail ID.
  6. Click on ‘YouTube’ trash icon: You can see YouTube option with the trash icon. Click on the trash icon to delete your YouTube account.
  7. Verify your mail ID again: Type your ID password again to verify.
  8. Start delete content process: A new tab will open. Click on ‘I want to permanently delete my channel’ option.
  9. Click on ‘delete my content’: Check the detail. Click on the box that will appear as the right mark. Now click on the ‘delete my content’ option at the bottom. Confirm it again when a new box pops up.

Your YouTube account has been deleted. If you have contents on YouTube, then it will take some time to delete.
