You might be regretting a cringe-worthy post that you had made in the past. If that's not the case, you might just want to start new and delete all your posts. Reddit has a very useful feature that lets users delete a particular post they had made in their profile or on a subreddit, this is similar to how you delete a post on Instagram. However, you will have to delete each post individually since Reddit does not offer a bulk delete feature.

In order to delete a post, you don't necessarily have to visit the community and remove it from there. You can easily do it from your Profile itself.

Step-1 Open Reddit App: The initial step is to launch the Reddit app. In order to do that, you need to download the app from Google Play Store (for Android users) or App Store (for iPhone users). Once the app becomes visible on the device, click on the app icon to open Reddit.

Step-2 Tap on the Profile Picture/ Avatar: Next, the profile picture or avatar will be visible to you in the Upper-Right corner. Tap on that icon to proceed to a new page.

Step-3 Tap on 'My Profile': Then, click on the option 'My Profile' placed below the Karma section. This action will reveal your profile page.

Step-4 Click the Three Dots on the Post: Scroll down to the post that you wish to delete. Three Dots placed vertically will be visible on the Upper-Right corner of that post. Tap on the Three Dots to reveal four options.

Step-5 Tap on 'Delete': Out of the four options provided to you, namely 'Save', 'Share', 'Hide Post', and 'Delete', click on the 'Delete' option to remove the post.

Step-6 Again, Tap on 'Delete': A message box will appear on your page to confirm your action. 

• Once again, click on the 'Delete' button which is in red color. 
• This action will permanently remove your post from the subreddit or profile page.

You have now successfully deleted your post from Reddit. Similar to removing a post, if you delete a comment on Instagram or Reddit, it will be erased from the app's database. Accordingly, no user will be able to view, share or comment on your post that you have removed from Reddit.

What happens after I delete a post from Reddit?

When you delete a post, the content of that particular post will get replaced with [deleted]. However, your username will be intact.

Does hiding a post on Reddit delete it?

Hiding a post on Reddit will not result in the deletion of that post. It will simply hide it from you and the device you are using. If you don't want other users of Reddit to see your post, you can delete it.

Will I lose my Karma if I delete my post?
