While creating reels on Instagram then you might create one or more drafts, slowly many drafts can pile up that you don't upload, then you need to know how to delete drafts on your iPhone.

Instagram is a massive platform that lets you upload pictures, videos, or short snippets like reels on your account. Sometimes you might upload content that you don't want on your profile anymore, then you can delete unwanted posts. It is very easy to learn how to delete Instagram photos, videos, or reels.

Delete Drafts on iPhone in 8 Steps

Step-1 Open Instagram App: To delete your drafts on Instagram you need to open the Instagram app. To open the app:

  • Go to your App library on your iPhone
  • Look for the Instagram app icon
  • Open the app by tapping on the icon shown in the picture below

Step-2 Tap on the plus icon: Once you open the app you will see the Instagram homepage. Now:

  • On the homepage go to the top of the page
  • Look on the top right corner of the page
  • Next to the message option, you will see the ‘+’ like icon
  • Tap on the plus icon

Step-3 Tap on Drafts: Now, you will be redirected to a new page. On this page, you need to scroll down and next to the Recents option you will see the Drafts option written in grey.

The recent option shows your newest pictures and videos in your gallery.

Step-4 Tap on Manage: You will be able to see your recent drafts on this page. Now go to the manage option on the right-hand side of the screen. The number of drafts is shown in the bracket alongside the manage option.

Tap on the manage option.

Step-5 Tap on Edit: The next step is to tap on the Edit option. You will be able to see this option in the top right corner of the screen. For further reference, you can look at the picture below.

Step-6 Tap on the Video or Photo: Now, you need to go through your drafts. Select the photo or video you want to delete.

Step-7 Tap on Done: After selecting your drafts on the discard page click on Done. You can delete one or multiple drafts by selecting as many drafts as you want.

Step-8 Tap on Discard posts: Finally to delete your drafts you will see a pop-up message on your screen. Tap on Discard posts that would be written in the message.

Alternatively, if you don't wish to delete your posts or feel you want to select more items then you can also tap on the Cancel option.
