Change the pin under the profile tab: 7 Steps
Step 1: Open the Paytm app
- The very first thing that you need to do is open the Paytm app on your device.
- However, if you don't have the app, you can download it from the App store and create a profile.
Step 2: Go to your profile: Once you open the app, the home screen will appear in front of you. Click on your profile at the top left corner of your screen. It is an icon with three lines.
Step 3: Tap on 'UPI & payment settings': After that, on the next screen, click on "UPI and Payment settings" to proceed further in the process.
Step 4: Tap on the "change pin" option: Your linked bank account will appear on the screen.
- Under your bank account, you will find the "Change Pin" option.
- Click on that option to move to the next step.
Step 5: Click on proceed: Once you click on the change pin option, the app will ask you for confirmation. After that, click on "Proceed" to confirm that you want to change the pin.
Step 6: Enter new UPI pin: In the next step, you can actually change your UPI pin. Henceforth, enter the new six-digit UPI Pin that you want to change.
Step 7: Confirm UPI pin: Once you have entered the pin, they will ask you for confirmation. Re-enter the pin to confirm.
Change the UPI Pin in Paytm directly by searching
Step 1: Open the Paytm app: You can change your pin in multiple ways. For the other way, open the Paytm app again.
Step 2: Search for payment settings: On the home screen, you will have a search option at the top right corner.
- Click on the "search" icon and type payment settings in the search box.
- Press search.
Step 3: Select the 'payment settings' option: The Payment settings page will appear on your screen. Now, under the "settings" section, you will find the "Payment settings" option. Click on it to proceed further.
Step 4: Select 'change pin': Your linked bank account will appear on your screen. However, you can find the Remove account, change pin, and Check Balance options on the screen. Click on "Change Pin" to proceed further.
Step 5: 'Click on Proceed' Once you are done, tap on the "proceed" option at the bottom to continue with the process.
Step 6: Enter the New Pin: On the next page, you will see an option to enter your new pin. Under the "Enter 6-Digit New UPI Pin", enter your new UPI pin.
Step 6: Re- enter the New Pin - Re-enter the pin to confirm the new pin. Your UPI pin is now changed.
Creating or changing your UPI pin in Paytm is quite easy. It takes just a few minutes to achieve the results. Your UPI Pin will be changed if you follow the steps mentioned above. However, never share your Paytm UPI ID with anyone. It is one of the most confidential information one can have when it comes to bank details.
