How to Change Telegram Account
Are you wondering how to change Telegram account when you've logged into one account already? Telegram allows you to add multiple accounts to your app. As a result, one can switch up between multiple accounts and manage all of them from one device. How to add another account to Telegram
Change Telegram Account in 3 Steps
Step 1- Open telegram and tap on the three-bar icon: To begin, open the Telegram app on your android or iOS device. Go to the main menu or app menu of your device which contains all the apps.
- Locate the telegram app. The telegram icon has a white paper plane that sits inside a solid light blue circle.
- Tap on this icon to launch the telegram app. This will open up the home screen of the app.
- At the top left corner of the screen, you will see the three horizontal bars icon are aligned in a row in the icon. This icon can be found on the app's home screen in the upper left corner.
- Tap on this symbol to select it. Look for this icon, then open the Telegram app.
Step 2- Tap on the down arrow icon: The three-bar icon will slide down a list of menus from the left side of the screen. The top of this menu has your display picture, name, and phone number present on the screen.
- On the opposite side of your phone number, there’s a downward arrow located, as seen in the screenshot below. Click on this downward arrow.
Step 3- Your account will appear here. Tap & open it: This downward arrow is responsible for showing any multiple accounts that are logged in or adding another account.
- If you’ve previously logged in with a different account, you will see that account as a suggestion and can click on it. If you’ve never added a new account before, you can change Telegram account by selecting the plus icon next to “Add Account.”
- Then, you’ll be asked to choose a country, a country code, and a phone number. You also have an option of syncing contacts located below the space of the phone number.
- Then click on the blue arrow located at the bottom right side of the screen to go to the next page.
After you follow the above-mentioned steps, the previously logged-in account will be changed to the new telegram account that you just added. Similarly, you can also change your public account to private account on telegram.
Note:
- You can add up to a maximum of three accounts on telegram while using it on android devices. Every account will require you to register with a different phone number. Then, you can switch up between these accounts.
- You can open one telegram account at one time. The account that is logged in will have a small tick next to the logged-in account’s name.
