Majority of email users have smartphones. All the devices run in android and iPhone network. You can follow these steps on both networks to change Gmail password in mobile.

These steps are applicable when you know the password and you want to change the password for another reason.

How to change Gmail password On Android

Android users are in the large number. Devices work on google platform so you can easily change your password. All android phones have inbuilt Gmail app in your phone.

Now follow these steps to change the password: 

  1. Open the settings: Open your phone’s settings tab. Swipe down to reach directly on settings. Tap ‘settings’ there.
  2. Tap ‘google’: Scroll down and tap ‘google’ option at the bottom in settings.
  3. Tap ‘google account: Tap ‘google account’ at top.
  4. Tap ‘choose account’: Select the account in ‘choose the account’ option.
  5. Tap security and the password: Tap the option of ‘security’ and tap the ‘password’ next.
  6. Enter your password: Enter your current password and tap next.
  7. Type your new password: Type your new password and confirm it by entering it again.
  8. Tap ‘change password’: Now tap ‘change password’ option to confirm the process. Your password has been changed.

How to change Gmail password On IOS devices

If you are an IOS user means you are using iPhone or iPad, you can change your password easily.

  1. Open the app: Open the Gmail app in your iPhone. Don’t try in-built mail app provided by apple. Download Google’s Gmail app from your app store.
  2. Sign in: Tap sign in and enter your mail ID and the password
  3. Tap three bars: Tap three bars option at the top left corner.
  4. Tap ‘settings’: Scroll down and tap ‘settings’ at the bottom. Select your account.
  5. Tap ‘manage your Google account’: Tap the option of ‘manage your Google account’ at the top of the options.
  6. Tap ‘sign in security’: Tap ‘sign in security’ option next.
  7. Tap ‘password’: Tap the ‘password’ option and enter your current password.
  8. Tap ‘sign in’: Tap ‘sign in’ option next.
  9. Type new password: Type your new password and confirm it again in the next box.
  10. Tap ‘change password’: Now tap ‘change password’ option to confirm the process. Your password has been changed.

Change the Gmail password in mobile when you forgot the password:

When we forget the Gmail password, we can create new password easily with our smartphone. These are the steps which can help you to understand how can you reset your password after verification easily:

  1. Open the app: Open the Gmail app.
  2. Tap sign in: Tap ‘sign in’ option at the bottom.
  3. Tap forget the password: Tap ‘forget the password’ when you tap sign in.
  4. Verify the code: Google will send you a verification code on your phone number. Copy the code and type it in your app box.
  5. Type new password: Type your new password twice to confirm it. Your password has been reset.
