Step-1 Open Instagram App: The first step is to go to your app library and look for Instagram. You can find the app in your app menu or you can search for it from the search bar.

  • After installing sign into the app or if you already have an account log into your account

Step-2 Tap on the plus icon: On the Instagram homepage in the top right corner you will see the ‘+’ like icon next to the messages icon.

With the help of this icon you will be able to add:

  • Posts
  • Story
  • Reel

Step-3 Select an image: After selecting the post option, select an image from the gallery you want to post. You can select an image or multiple images from :

  • Recents
  • Your Favourites
  • Snapchat
  • Whatsapp
  • Live Photos
  • Bursts

Step-4 Tap on next: Now that you have selected an image you need to tap on the next option. This Next option will be on the top right corner of the screen.

Step-5 Tap on Add music: The next step in this process is to tap on the Add Music option. For further reference look at the picture below.

Step-6 Search for the music: Now in the search bar look for the song that you want to add. You will see multiple versions of the same song or songs with the same name.

Step-7 Tap on the music: Select the song according to your preference and tap on it.

Step-8 Drag the dial to adjust the music part: The next step is to select the snippet of the song you want to add to your post. You can also select the duration for which the song will be played. Instagram allows you to go up to 30 seconds.

Step-9 Tap on Done: One of the last steps is to tap on the Done options. Tapping on this option means you are done altering your post and the , music you want to add.

Step-10 Tap on Share: Finally, before posting :

  • Write a caption
  • Tag people
  • Add a location

No tap on the blue share option on the top right corner of the screen.

Why Can't I Add Music To My Instagram Post?

Adding music to your Instagram is a new trend. Many people are using this feature to enhance their Instagram feed.

If you are not able to add music to your Instagram post or story it might be because your Country doesn't allow Instagram music.
